Solely Lighthearted !

Anything with a touch of Pink always gives me a sense of relief, maybe because those of us who luv beauty favor this universal color of love. Hmmm, what I solely like most about this fab color is, it encourages friendliness while discouraging agression and ill-will. Looking at Angel bellido's "Digital Alphabet: Letter L painting" above and Gaspard Yurkievich's sole below tickles me pink: Makes me happy !

Solely Tuneful !

It's solely the gift of art that keeps the world on its feet; whether it's Jules Engel's boogie - woogie alphabet painting above or Jerome Rousseau's swinging sole below it's difficult to refrain from the melody of talent. I solefully luv what poet Frank Marshall Davis writes:

Night's brittle song, silver thin
Shatters into a billion fragments
Of quiet shadows
At the blaring jazz
Of a morning sun.

Solely Sequential!

Everyday I see myself escaping to a world created with a continuity of exquisite art and soles that are collectively shuffled into a classification of sheer artistry.  As Oliver Sacks says:
"Creativity...involves the power to originate, to break away from the existing ways of looking at things, to move freely in the realm of the imagination, to create and recreate worlds freely in one's mind-while supervising all this with a critical inner eye." Hmmm, I know the perfect placement for Albert Verges'
choreographed painting"Binary Portrait" and Chanel's  graceful sole: my world.

Solely Artful !

It's simply wondrous when ideas are cultivated into nontraditional forms of art. It instantly creates a boldface approach to ingenuity via expression of brilliance. Personally I have a penchant for extraordinary soles, art and beautiful sayings such as this one by Edgar Allen Poe; " Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears." Hmmm, no wonder Raul Canestro's  painting; "The Thought" and Roger Vivier's sole effortlessly move me with passion.

Solely Perseverance!

I have been considerably annoyed with Mr. Mac for the past two days!  For some odd reason he blocked me from uploading pictures but I was determined not to let him defeat me.  I remember a saying of Pope John XXIII, " Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do." Thanks to Juan Dalmau Gallarza's encouraging painting "Before to Know Dr. Caba Catalan" and Bionda Castana's inspiring soles I swallowed the bitter pill of disappointment without choking!

Solely Without Boundaries !

I would luv to submerge myself into a world of wondrous art and soles 24/7 but thanks to a rude awakening called reality, it's rather difficult to do. I never say impossible because there is always the ......

Impossible Dream

To dream....the impossible dream...
To fight ...the unbeatable foe...
To bear... with unbearable sorrow...
To run...where the brave dare not go...
To right...the unrightable wrong...

To love... pure and chaste from afar...
To try...when your arms are too weary...
To reach...the unreachable star...
This is my quest,to follow that star......
_Joe Darion

Hmmm, this is solely why I luv to dream about the obtainable becaus
e one day Anton Cetin's " Eve and Butterfly" will hang on my wall and my feet will be in Cesare Paciotti's lovely soles for Spring'09.

Solely Grateful !

A zillion plus soft, white, crystalline flakes fell from the heavens and covered the ground today six inches high. As the wind picked up my surroundings became a picture of blankness, a complete white-out. Beautiful it is but very frightening if you're driving in it as I was, fortunately I survived the forty mile trip home. Aaron Afflalo once said, "If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." Hmmm, how solely true this quote is sooo I'll say Good-bye to hopefully the last of the snow by celebrating Shalang's painting, "Organismo Spirituale" and Barbara Bui's rejoicing sole for Spring'09.

Solely Relishing !

Excitement overwhelms me every time I see soles and art with such gaiety.  Instantly, my heart begins to palpitate as this gleeful combo jump starts my day by transporting my zealous emotion to an exhilarating feeling of joy, hmmm, sounds crazy I know but it's true. I suppose it's my sole conviction that gives me fever whenever I spy intense paintings like Tomas Mendoza Arraco's painting, "Observing The Underground" and  vivacious soles like Sergio Rossi's Sole below for Spring'09. One of my fav Artists, M.C. Escher  solely captures the energy of these two forms of art when he says; "At moments of great enthusiasm it seems to me that no one in the world has ever made something this beautiful and important."

Solely Unrestrained !

There's something eclectic about an uncluttered atmosphere that memorializes savvy art like Jamie Ball's photo, "Lace Curtain Catholic" above and Nicholas Kirkwood's entrancing sole below. Hmmm, as Victor Hugo once said, "Freedom in art, freedom in society, this is the double goal towards which all consistent and logical minds must strive." This is precisely why I am an admirer of  the imagination.

Solely Impassioned !

It's unwittingly sole-boggling whenever I eye idiosyncratic elegance, solely because it provokes a sense of sensuality and drama that makes me feel incredibly spectacular.  One look at my daily dose of art and soles, like Wolfgang Kals' "Arrow Star" painting above and Roger Vivier's extraordinary sole below reassures me that I was born to live aesthetically.

Solely Sedated !

Although the day was invariably hectic I maturely decided to not divvy in its distress, instead I reclaimed my energy and redirected it into a more delightful and rehabilitating direction. Needless to say, when I stumbled on Annabel Barber's harmonious fusion above and Robert Clergerie's serene sole below, I thought of something Thich Nhat Hanh once said; " Every day we do things, we are things that have to do with peace. If we are aware of our life..., our way of looking at things, we will know how to make peace right in the moment, we are alive."

Solely Upfront !

It is a natural practice of mine to excitedly reflect on elaborately elegant soles and art; without doing so, I give rise to a feeling of self torment.  In conclusion it is always the gift to dream that necessitates my happiness in taking refuge in paintings as fearless as Javier Mariscal's  painting; "M. J. Antonio" above and soles as fierce as Pierre Hardy's sole below.

Solely On The Horizon !

Today I decided to pack away all of my warm memories of frigid Old Man Winter and dream of a combustion of brilliant colors blooming in my Mother's garden. In days to come my dream of Spring will become a reality and once again I'll happily open my bare arms to embrace it as I 've dreamt of embracing the enticing Oleg Frolov's "Untitled" painting above and Sergio Rossi's sole below.

Solely Wishing You A Happy Valentine's Day

Hmmm, just give me fab art like Jorge Berlato's painting;"Dialogues Series 10" above and Christian Louboutin's Dazzling soles below for Valentine's day and I am solely happy. Oooh let's not forget the chocolates, flowers and gems too! Okay so I'm pushing it a bit but I thought I tickle you Pink with something Sweet to say!

"Happy Valentine's Day"

Solely Love !

When I think of February 14th "St. Valentine's Day", I always think of  a day of Romance and a night of Passion.  Maybe this is why one of my fav poems "Wild Nights" by Emily Dickinson echoes in my mind as it tantalizes my heart with Richard Allen's "Water Study Under Trees" painting above and Charlotte Olympia's sultry pink sole below.

                                                 "Wild Nights"
                                              Wild nights. Wild nights!
                                                 Were I with thee,
                                               Wild nights should be
                                                   Our luxury!
                                                Futile the winds
                                                To a heart in port
                                            Done with the compass
                                               Done with the chart
                                                Rowing in Eden
                                                   Ah, the sea.
                                              Might I but moor
                                                Tonight with thee!

Solely Argent !

This evening as I peered outside of my window I noticed how beautiful the moon appeared, although it wasn't a silver moon it still glistened in the sky. A painting titled "Unfinished" by an extremely gifted artist: Virginia de Felipe reminded me of this lovely sight as did Walter de la Mar's poem "Silver" remind me of Miu Miu's luminescent sole below.

Silver
Slowly, silently,
now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers,
and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote
the white breasts peep
of doves in silver feathered sleep
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye
and moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream

Solely Under the Skin !

It never fails I always attempt to play octopus and end up dropping something; like the stack of hardback books I was carrying. Unfortunately, as the pilot I lost control, when my passengers decided to fly out of my hands and do a crash landing onto the top of my feet before I could safely land them onto my desk. Ice to the rescue came quickly as I applied it before blood decided to escape from my vessels and give me a temporary Black and Blue tattoo. Frank Lloyd Wright, once said " I have been black and blue in some spot, somewhere, almost all my life from too intimate contacts with my own furniture." Hmmm, it's solely swell when you get to see two striking marks of art blemish-free: Blanca Oraa's painting "Empty 11" and Marni's Black and Blue sole below.

Solely in the Framework !

The essence of smoothness is the feeling of structure and form to the touch. It's solely marvelous when fabrics are intermixed with the finest and roughness of fibers to create a beautiful pattern. Andrew Wyeth said ," I search for the realness, the real feeling of a subject all the texture around it . . . I always want to see the third dimension of something . . . I want to come alive with the object."  Hmmm, my senses become vigilantly attentive as I gaze into the coarseness of Paul Wadsworth's painting, "Beach Houseand the softness of Alexandra Neel's vivacious sole with its underlying structure of lustrous, silken texture for Spring'09.

Solely Impartial !

Gray dominated the sky today and I vowed not to let it put me in a Gray mood. No unhappy mood for me instead I decided to acknowledge Gray for the color it is; one of intellect and wisdom. The more I gaze into its depthness I discover just how refined it is, amazingly the human eye can distinguish five hundred shades of Gray. Painter, Odilon Redon, once said, "The fundamental Gray which differentiates the masters, expresses them and is the soul of all color." Hmmm, if I had to choose between Christian Louboutin's classic sole below and Andres Guso's wise "Orange Cross" painting above; give or take I would solely stand neutral.

Solely Love !

I confess this Spring I am in hot pursuit of soles and art that make me blush a cherry red. As my heart guides me it also inflames me with a heated passion that glows whenever I observe art such as; Paulina Parra's ( an arousing artist who creates abstract works that literally and symbolically probe the heart) intimate "Now is Already" painting above, that solely resembles the color of blood flushing my heart with wonderment. However, I must say it's Manolo Blahnik's lovely sole below that my heart bleeds for without missing a beat.

Solely An Eyeful !

Coco Chanel once said, " Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." Fashion and Art both are defined by a phenomenal sense of beauty; a beauty that is always in the eye of the beholder. Hmmm, when I look at Duong Sen's painting "Autumn Scent" and Loewe's Courtly sole I have no delusions that I see two companions who share the same view; one of beauty.

Solely Compassionate !

There are periods in one's life that are nothing more than illusions, there is also a depth of a certain spatial awareness that aligns one's mind with reality.  A reality that fills  life with order and harmony so one can become a more refined human being. Artist Richard Anuszkiewicz's painting: " Midnight Suite " seems to share this wondrous diverse path of life as it transforms the energies of its contrasting colors into a universe that is not only charitable but humane. A saying I guide my life by comes from Author, Carlos Castaneda ," Look at every path closely and deliberately, then ask ourselves this crucial question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, then the path is good. If it doesn't, it is of no use."  Hmmm, wearing Rupert Sanderson's gracious sole below while walking down a path this Spring will no doubt warm a heart.

Solely Wisdom !

As I grow older I have learned to stand still if only for a moment so I may process every mode of expression surrounding me in a new way. As I carefully observe painter Francisco Arroyo Ceballos's painting: "Eyes, Fishes and Fruits" I silently hear it voicing a language of sight, smell and taste. Hmmm, one of my fav architects: Hugh Newell Jacobsen, once said,"It is our art that has an opportunity to leave a footprint in the sand. They don't wrap fish in our work." Thank goodness they don't! However I do know a sole that can be wrapped, sealed and delivered to me this Spring and that's Christian Louboutin's aesthetic sole below.

Solely Dynamizing !

I always luv a bolt of  an electrifying blue to shock me, not only is it stunning but it is also sheer mad genius the way it jolts my energy. It is the perfect cure for a symptom of Grey on a cold Winter's day.  Just the thought of new sensations evoking spectacular visions of tantalizing indulgences is exciting and the results are breathtaking.  Painter:  Luis Amer's exhilarating painting" Marine" above  releases a festive fluidity of brilliance as Beatrix Ong's curiously and quirky sole below perks up Spring'09.
